Presented by: Nicole Imeson
Nicole Imeson is a mechanical engineer and Principal at Vertica Engineering in Calgary. She has spent the majority of her career in the contract administration world, working with trades to help turn blueprints into buildings. In her role as Principal, she has shifted her focus to include all aspects of the project from design, to drafting, through construction to occupancy; and developed a new appreciation for all the work that goes into each and every project.
In her spare time, Nicole hosts and produces a podcast called Failurology, discussing engineering failures from around the world across multiple disciplines. She has been involved in another podcast about women in engineering called GLOE (Glorious Ladies of Engineering). Nicole is also President of the Western Canada Chapter of the Building Commissioning Association.
