This presentation is specific to the regulatory requirements of the CSA B52 code in Canada. The presentation will review the code requirements that apply to the location and installation of refrigerant piping in both industrial and commercial applications. Because of the regulatory environment in Canada there are large sections of CSA B52 that do not have significant enforcement, possibly leaving design engineers responsible for compliance. We will review the installation of split systems and VRF (Variable Refrigerant Flow) piping as well as occupancy based refrigerant concentration limits.
